Three Seasons In A Man’s Life That You Need To Know
There are times and seasons for every purpose/activity under heaven (Ecc. 3:1). There is a time of labour and a time of comfort.
Man is not meant to labour rigorously all the days of his life. This is because the strength to labour will not be there all the time.
Sadly, the devil has deprived a lot of believers the time of comfort they are supposed to have in life. Thus, they labour endlessly to the point of death.
This is due to the fact that many believers are oblivious to the relevance of times and seasons to their lifting in life. This is not right!
Here are the basic three seasons of every man:
(1) Morning Season
Lamentation 3:27 (KJV)
It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.
This is the period of time an individual is expected to have discovered his purpose in life and begin to execute the plans given to him by God. This period is within one year to thirty years.
At this season, young people are vested with the strength to work and labour for the future. Moreover, the decision a man makes at this period will affect his life entirely. A man who decides to rest at this point will suffer for the rest of his life.
Young people are expected to equip themselves with skills through education and every other means, in order to remain valuable and useful to themselves and their societies.
No man should trifle with this stage in life. David started struggling early to become a king and he became a king at the age of 30. Joseph had been pursuing his dream early till he became a Prime minister at the age of 30.
So, do not allow old people deceive you that you are too young to become someone great in life. If God has called you, you can become a mighty Prophet like Jesus at the age of 30, you can be an Evangelist, Apostle or a Pastor at a young age.
Do not permit age to limit you from starting what God has called you to do.
(2) Afternoon Season
This period is known as the period of fulfillment of prophecies and promises. Afternoon season is from the age of 30-60. At this point, men of vision are expected to be doing great; thereby, becoming a force to be reckoned with.
Jesus began his ministry at the age of thirty (Luke 3:23). Joseph became a prime minister at the age of 30 (Gen. 41:46). David became the king of Israel at the age of 30 (2 Sam. 5:4). All these began great men to fulfil destiny at the age of 30.
Youthful exuberance has robbed a lot of young people of the glory that has been bestowed upon them. A lot of young people think that they are still very young, therefore, they need not to struggle and work hard at the moment.
Recall that no one is getting younger. Every day you are ageing. We keep growing every day. Hence, we need to be intentional about the decisions we take during youthful period.

Time is neutral, time is not really the determinant of the rising of stars. It is what we do with our time, that determines if we will rise in life or not.
Simply put, if you ever miss your afternoon season, you can only live to make a living and not to make an impact.
And if you miss this season, a life of labour and intense struggle will continue till your night season. May you not miss your season in Jesus’ name.

(3) Evening Season
This period begins from 60 till the time of death. Whatever you do during morning and afternoon seasons will determine, whether the result you will have at this stage, will be comfort or struggle.
At the age of 75 years, Abraham had accumulated possessions and servants (Gen. 12:5). If you can’t feed yourself and your family, why would you want to have servants?
So, he was wealthy even at that stage before it was said concerning him that God had blessed him in every way (Gen. 24:1).
God’s Word describes a 80-year-old man, named Barzillai who was very wealthy – a huge sponsor of King David in Mahanaim (2 Sam. 19:32-33).
It is important for you to work assiduously now as a young person, so as not to work when your strength is gone.
Those who labour intelligently, during morning and afternoon seasons are the ones who will be counted worthy of rest and comfort. While those who are lackadaisical and unserious during morning and afternoon seasons wil be counted worthy of pain, endless labour and discomfort.
May the Lord grant you comfort. May you begin to do the work that will grant you splendid reward at your night season. AMEN!
