Four Things Christians Should Do To Witches

witches

Having identified the ways through which witches could be identified in the FIRST and SECOND part of my previous articles.

We must understand the kind of disposition we must have towards them. Here are the things God expects us to do when we come across witches and sorcerers;

(1) Preach To Them

Acts 8:13

Simon himself believed and was baptized. And he followed Philip everywhere, astonished by the great signs and miracles he saw.

Simon was a sorcerer before Philip, entered their city in Samaria to preach. After the teaching of God’s Word, signs and wonders followed. Simon, the sorcerer who had formerly held the city in bondage by his devilish spirit, gave his life to Christ, after hearing the gospel.

Although, Philip did not single him out in order to preach to him. But he was among the throng of people who gathered to listen to the gospel, being preached by Philip.

Therefore, believers in Christ should keep preaching and leave the rest to God to handle. There is no need being suspicious. Just preach the gospel either in the bus or on the road. So that witches can repent and accept Christ. God wants everyone to come to repentance.

(2) Do Not Ordain Them Into Position Of Power In The Church

Acts 8:21

You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God.

Peter vehemently told Simon, that he had no part with them in the ministry. Why? His heart was not right before God. He wanted to buy the gift of God with money, so that he would use it to mesmerize people.

Although, he had believed in Christ. But it seemed Simon believed, because of the signs he saw. It was not really a genuine salvation. He believed so that he could get a higher power.

It is crystal clear that such people like that should not be ordained as deacons or pastors. Unless they have being thoroughly taught God’s Word and they have been faithful in their walk with God. We need to see if they have been transformed by His Word before ordaining them.

What Does It Take To Be Ordained

(3) If They Hinder You, Rebuke Them

Acts 13:11

Now the hand of the Lord is against you. YOU ARE GOING TO BE BLIND, and for a time you will be unable to see the light of the sun.

Paul, being filled with the Holy Ghost, rebuked Bar Jesus and asked that he should be struck with blindness.

Bar-Jesus was opposing Paul as he was preaching, so the person he was preaching to was affected. His message seemed to be without effect. In other words, Bar-Jesus hindered his message.

In response to this, Paul rebuked him. So, as believer, you must learn to resist the work of the devil. You must learn to rebuke the agents of darkness.

Don’t allow them to hinder you. Before they hinder you, hinder them. Render them ineffective with prayer. You have been given the power already (Luke 10:19).

Why You Should Not Take Revenge

(4) Deal With Their Spirit

Mark 16:17

And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speaks in tongues.

There are spirits and demons behind witchcraft. You must learn to cast them out. These spirits can be easily dealt with in the place of prayer. You have the power already. You can cast out evil spirits in the Name of Jesus.

Be bold enough to rebuke evil spirits whenever you sense that they are at work. Above all, be prayerful. Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

This means that you need to destroy the spirits behind their power. Prayer is not optional, but mandatory.
