3 Main Things God Needs From You

As mighty as the Lord is, there are certain things He needs from us.

Many Christians think He does not need anything from us. So, we refuse to follow Him wholeheartedly. The truth is, God cannot do anything on earth unless He uses men.

All through the Scriptures, you will discover that God had to call certain men whenever He wanted to do anything strategic on earth.

In fact, God will do nothing on earth unless He reveals His plans to His servants the prophets (Micah 3:7). Basically, God does this because He has given the earth to the sons of men (Psalm 115:16).

Here Are Three Things God Needs From You;

(1) Your Attention

Luke 10:39

She had a sister who called Mary, who sat AT THE LORD’S FEET LISTENING to what he said.

In this story, Martha’s attention was encumbered by preparations she was making to please her guest; Jesus Christ, but, her sister; Mary was busy paying attention to Jesus’ teaching.

Martha expected Jesus to command Mary to join her in her preparation but Jesus had to commend Mary for listening to Him.

To buttress this, Jesus once said, when you look at Him, you will see the One who sent Him (John 12:45).

Also, Himself and His Father (God) are one. So, the fullness of God is in Christ.

So, God does not only want us to serve Him zealously. But He wants us to learn His ways.

It is never enough to know His acts. We, therefore, need to know His ways because His ways are His secrets to a life of exploits, just as Moses did.

Among other things, God needs your attention. Pay attention to His Word. It is not enough to be a worker in the Church. You must be a student of the Word. God wants us to be teachable.

(2) Your Resources

Exodus 35:5

From what you have, take an offering for the LORD. Everyone who is willing is to bring to the LORD an offering of gold, silver and bronze.

When the Tabernacle was to be built, the Lord commanded Moses to ask for offering from the Israelites. And everyone is to give out of what they had.

As powerful as the Lord is, He did not bring down a big building (Terbanacle) from heaven. But he had to call on the Israelites to come together and build the Tabernacle.

In other words, if we really want to advance His kingdom on earth, we must be ready to release our resources. Releasing our resources will help in advancing the kingdom of God on earth.

We need to realize that God needs us for His purpose on earth to be done.

We must cooperate with Him. Hence, if you refuse, He can raise anything to fulfill His purpose.

To take gospel to villages or remote places, we need to release what we have.

And as we do that we are storing our treasures in heaven where moth and rust cannot destroy. Do not be stingy. God gives you and you must give to Him out of what you have been given.

(3) Your Soul

Rev. 3:20;
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.

You must realize the fact that there is nothing as precious to God as your soul. The wealth, fame and clout you have cannot be compared to the importance of your soul.

That is why a man can gain this whole world and forfeit his soul in hell if he doesn’t have Christ. If you have not given your life to Christ.

Please, confess these words; ”Father, I believe you died and rose from the dead because of me. I confess my sins. Lord, accept me as your son, as I am ready to do your will till the end.
